PROVIDENCE, R. I. - Sophomore Jessica Mucci (Severna Park, Md.) has been named the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week, as announced by the conference office Monday afternoon. The sophomore attack earns weekly honors after totaling 13 points in a 2-0 week for the Wildcats.

Mucci had five points via a goal and four assists in a 16-7 win at Columbia during a midweek matchup on March 13th. She followed that performance with a career-high eight points through three goals and five assists in an 11-7 win against Davidson at home on March 16th. For the season, Mucci leads Villanova with 31 points and leads the BIG EAST with 24 assists.

Villanova enters BIG EAST action this weekend when they travel to Marquette and Notre Dame this Friday and Sunday. Game times slated for 6 and 1 p.m, respectively.
