April 30, 2014

BIG EAST Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week
Kacey Pippitt, Connecticut, Sr., M
Pipitt scored a career-high six goals against Villanova in the regular-season finale as the Huskies clinched the No. 3 seed with the win. The six goals tied a season high for all UConn players and were one short of the program record of seven goals in a game. The senior also recorded three draw controls and one ground ball against the Wildcats. Her 54 draw controls this season leads all Huskies and is the second highest total among all BIG EAST players.

BIG EAST Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week
Sarah Priem, Marquette, So., GK
Priem posted a 9.88 goals against average against No. 18 Louisville and USC, while allowing the Golden Eagles to make second half comebacks which fell short against each squad. The sophomore made 10 second-half saves against the BIG EAST’s top offense in the Cardinals on Thursday. She also contributed a pair of ground balls, caused turnovers and three saves against the Trojans as MU pulled within a single point in the second half.
