Complete List of All-Regional Teams

NEW YORK – The Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association has announced its All-Regional Teams with 13 BIG EAST players on the list. BIG EAST regular season and tournament champion Louisville had four honorees, all on the West First Team, tying Connecticut for the most selections, which had two on the Northeast First Team and two on the Second Team. Conference runner-up Georgetown had three players recognized, while Rutgers added a pair of honorees.

The IWLCA honored 128 student-athletes in Division I who are now eligible for inclusion on the IWLCA All-America teams, which will be announced on Monday May 19. The IWLCA will honor the National All-Americans at the IWLCA All-American banquet on Saturday June 7, at the Radisson Hotel Valley Forge in King of Prussia, Pa.

All 13 of the BIG EAST student-athletes recognized by the IWLCA were voted to the All-BIG EAST First Team this season, including major award winners from Louisville Nikki Boltja (Attack Player of the Year), Kay Morrissette (Midfielder of the Year) and Monica Negron (Defensive Player of the Year). The Cardinals and Georgetown represented the league the NCAA Tournament, both winning their first-round contests before suffering second-round defeats.
