Georgetown University Head Women's Soccer Coach Dave Nolan announced that the Hoyas will play five games during the spring, starting with a home matchup against George Mason on Wednesday, Feb. 27.
"This spring schedule gives us a perfect balance of games as we look to start preparations for the 2013 fall season," Nolan said. "While we need to replace some very good graduating seniors, we also have some very good players ready to step up and fill their shoes.
"These games will be very important as we start to put together the framework of next year's team, starting right out of the gate with a game earlier than usual against local rival George Mason. The season culminates with a final challenge against ACC power Virginia. The girls are working very hard and are very excited to get back on the field."
The first match against George Mason will take place on the Multi-Sport Field at 7:30 p.m. The woman will then travel to Navy on March 22. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. The final home match of the 2013 spring season will be on Sunday, March 24 against Villanova on North Kehoe Field.
The spring slate closes out with a match at VCU on Friday, April 12 (7 p.m.) and at Virginia on Sunday, April 2 (1 p.m.).
