NEW YORK, N.Y. - Seton Hall goalkeeper Jennifer Pettigrew (Kearny, N.J.) landed a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll thanks to her performance against Army last Friday in the Pirates' only game of the week.

Pettigrew tied a season-high with four stops, guiding The Hall to its first win of the new season by ending the day with a clean sheet, helping first half strikes from Meghan Hayes (Fredon, N.J.) and freshman Frankie Maier (Oradell, N.J.) stand up in a 2-0 victory.

The triumph was also the first for SHU in three tries over the last three seasons against the Black Knights, taking full advantage of their first opportunity to a host a match in the series.

Three of Pettigrew's saves came in the second half of play and through three contests; she now has 11 for the season, tied for fifth-best in the league.

Her 194 career saves are fourth-most in school history and the shutout was the seventh she has posted in a Pirate uniform, moving her to within one of claiming sole possession of fourth on the all-time list.

Pettigrew and the Seton Hall defense have been tough to crack for opposing offenses so far this season; allowing only one goal in the last 277 minutes of play. To this point in the season, SHU has surrendered only three goals, matching the second-fewest among the conference's 10 teams.

Seton Hall travels to Monmouth tonight looking to build a winning streak when they take on the Hawks for the 19th time in program history. Kick-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. in West Long Branch.
