CHICAGO – There was more good news for DePaul women’s soccer Monday to go along with the program’s three-game winning streak.

The BIG EAST Conference announced that Blue Demon freshman Ana Greik has been named to the league’s Weekly Honor Roll.

That recognition meant that Greik had one of the top performances in the league last week.

The talented freshman from Blair Academy in New Jersey scored the first goal of her collegiate career in a 3-1 road victory over Ohio on Friday.

Two days later, Greik scored her first goal at Wish Field in Sunday’s 3-1 win over College of Charleston.

Teammate Elise Wyatt said after Sunday’s match how impressed she was with Greik’s rapid transition from high school to major Division I college soccer.

Greik is the second Blue Demon to be honored by the BIG EAST this season. Wyatt was named to the Honor Roll last week.

DePaul (3-1-0) takes on Milwaukee at 4 p.m. Friday at Wish Field.
