PITTSBURGH—The Pitt women’s soccer team travels to nearby Moon Township for a match at Robert Morris on Wednesday, Sept. 4. Kickoff is at 5 p.m. ET.
Pitt (3-1-0) enters the game on a two-game win streak following victories over Bucknell (3-0) and Central Michigan (1-0). With a perfect 3-0-0 record, Robert Morris is off to its best start to a season in school history. The Colonials have defeated Bucknell (3-1), Niagara (2-1) and Northern Kentucky (1-0).
The matchup marks the ninth time the two schools have met in women’s soccer. Pitt owns a 6-2-0 advantage in the series with wins in each of the last two and four of the last five games.
Over its first four games and 360 minutes of action, Pitt has allowed just two goals and registered three shutouts. Junior goalkeeper Nicole D’Agostino has made 18 saves and recorded a 0.53 goals against average in facing 45 shots. Sophomore Roosa Arvas leads the Panthers in points (five) with two goals and one assist.
Pitt’s next home game is on Friday, Sept. 6 against Toledo. Kickoff for that contest is at 6 p.m. at Ambrose Urbanic Field. The Panthers play their first Atlantic Coast Conference game when they host Boston College on Thursday, Sept. 12 at 7 p.m. ET at Ambrose Urbanic Field. That contest will be nationally televised on ESPN3 and locally in Pittsburgh on Pitt Panthers Television (Comcast Network Channel 188 or 210).
