The Providence College women's soccer team is set to host DePaul in its BIG EAST home opener on Sunday, Sept. 29. The game is scheduled to begin at noon and will be played on Glay Field.
The Friars enter Sunday with an overall record of 3-4-3 (0-1-0 BIG EAST). Providence opened their conference schedule on Thursday, Sept. 27 when the Friars fell to Seton Hall, 1-0.
Sophomore Kathryn Hiller (Dartmouth, Mass.) leads the Friars in scoring with 12 points on five goals and two assists. Senior Amanda Webster (Saugus, Mass.) ranks second on the team in scoring with eight points on two goals and four assists.
Junior Jessica Goudreault (Sherborn, Mass.) recorded her first start of the year in the game against Seton Hall. She has played 97:59 minutes in goal and tallied seven saves for a .778 save percentage. Freshman Kristyn Shea (Piscataway, N.J.) has played 784:20 in goal and recorded 43 saves for a .796 save percentage.
SCOUTING DE PAUL: The Blue Demons enter Sunday's game with an overall record of 6-1-2 (0-0-1 BIG EAST). DePaul tied its conference opener in a match up against Georgetown, 1-1. Elysse Wyatt leads the Blue Demons in scoring with 12 points on five goals and two assists. Five additional Blue Demons have found the back of the net. Alejandria Godinez has played 859:11 in goal where she has tallied 50 saves for a .893 save percentage.
