QUEENS, N.Y. - Junior Georgia Kearney-Perry was named the BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week on Monday after holding a pair of conference opponents scoreless through 200 minutes this past weekend.

The junior defender held both Xavier and Creighton scoreless in their first two BIG EAST games of the 2013 season this past week, allowing only 14 shots in a combined 200 minutes at home.

Joining Kearney-Perry was sophomore Rachel Daly who was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll after scoring a pair of goals in a 2-0 victory over Xavier on Thursday, including a game-winning penalty kick against the Musketeers.

The Red Storm hit the road on Thursday Oct. 3 as it heads to Milwaukee, Wis. to take on Marquette at 8 p.m.
