PROVIDENCE, R.I. - All 16 women's soccer teams are in action on Friday as conference action turns to intra-division matchups. No. 22/21 West Virginia will host St. John's in a key American Division match at 7 p.m. The Mountaineers lead the division with 15 points, while the Red Storm are tied for third-place with 12 points. On Sunday, all 16 teams again play against their division rivals. Louisville travels to Georgetown in a matchup of National Division leaders at p.m. The Hoyas are in first-place with 12 points, while the Cardinals are in second-place with 11 points.
All seven field hockey teams are in action this weekend, with three conference games on the schedule. No. 4 Connecticut and Georgetown will open weekend play on Friday with a 3:00 game in Washington, D.C. On Saturday, No. 20 Louisville will host Rutgers at noon for its ` Stick it to Cancer' campaign while Villanova travels to Providence, also at noon. UConn, Georgetown and No. 5 Syracuse will also be in action on Sunday.
There are 14 volleyball matches scheduled to take place this weekend. Two teams undefeated in league play will square off on Saturday when Louisville (12-4, 4-0 BIG EAST) travels to face Seton Hall (12-6, 3-0 BIG EAST) at 7 p.m. The Pirates also will welcome Cincinnati (12-6, 4-0 BIG EAST) on Sunday at 2 p.m. Marquette (13-4, 3-0 BIG EAST) takes on Villanova (12-5, 4-0 BIG EAST) on Sunday at 3 p.m.
There are seven men's soccer conference matches on Saturday, including two teams not in action. Top-ranked Connecticut will travel to No. 12/11 Notre Dame at Noon. Villanova hosts DePaul and NR/22 Providence will take on visiting Marquette at 1 p.m. At 7 p.m., Seton Hall travels to Pittsburgh and Syracuse will play at No. 11/12 Louisville. The final two games of the night will feature No. 13/19 Georgetown at West Virginia and No. 9/8 St. John's at No. 17/14 USF at 7:30 p.m. In the only match on Sunday, Rutgers will host Cincinnati at 2:30 p.m.
