MILWAUKEE--The No. 20/10 Marquette women's soccer team (12-3, 5-0) begins its first of two road games this week at Seton Hall on Thursday, Oct. 17. Kick-off is slated for 6 p.m. CT.
The Golden Eagles are on a seven-game winning streak after recording a 4-0 shutout over Georgetown at Valley Fields on Sunday. With the victory, MU shot to No. 4 in the RPI and re-entered the top-25 of all major soccer polls. Senior Taylor Madigan was credited with the game-winning goal and also handed out an assist against Georgetown. Classmates Maegan Kelly and Cara Jacobson, along with freshman Ashley Handwork each recorded one goal in the game. Kelly leads the squad this season with 19 points (6 G, 7 A), while Madigan has tallied 15 points on five goals and five assists.
Seton Hall enters the game with a 4-8-2 overall record and 2-3-0 mark in conference play. The Pirates fell to Xavier, 2-1 last week. Marie Klemme scored the lone goal for the Pirates in the contest and despite the loss, SHU outshot Xavier, 14-9. Kaitlin Ritter leads the squad with 13 points on the season (6 G, 1 A), while Ashley Clarke has tallied 11 points with two goals and seven assists.
