Erin Pekovitch scored her second game-winner this season

MILWAUKEE, Wis.--Senior Erin Pekovitch scored the game-winning goal to lift No. 3 seed DePaul over No. 2 seed Georgetown, 1-0, in the first game of the 2013 BIG EAST Championship semifinals at Valley Fields on Friday evening.

Pekovitch's goal came unassisted in the 68th minute from outside the 30-yard box into the center of the net. It was her third goal of the season and second game-winner this year. Pekotvitch got the ball on a throw-in from Rachel Pitman. The Hoyas outshot the Blue Demons 26-2 and had seven shots on goal to DePaul's two. DePaul goalkeeper Alex Godinez registered her ninth shutout of the season.

The Blue Demons will face the winner of No. 1 Marquette and No. 4 St. John's to be played later this evening. It will be DePaul first appearance in the championship game.
