A pair of historic victories propelled the Georgetown and Notre Dame women's soccer teams into the quarterfinals of the NCAA Championship. In third round action this past weekend, the Hoyas won 1-0 at Minnesota, while No. 7/10 Notre Dame won 4-1 at No. 3/4 North Carolina. Playing in their second NCAA Championship, the Hoyas their first win over a Big Ten team. The victory also was Georgetown's record 15th on the year. Down on Tobacco Road, Notre Dame handed Carolina its worst loss in 30 years. Senior forward/midfielder Rose Augustin collected a goal and two assists, and junior forward Melissa Henderson added a goal and an assist.
