Pittsburgh's Kiesha Leggs Named BIG EAST Volleyball Player of the Week.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Pittsburgh senior Kiesha Leggs helped the Panthers volleyball team to a 1-1 week and was named BIG EAST Player of the Week. Cincinnati's Caylin Mahoney was named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week for her play as the Bearcats went 3-0 last week.
 
Leggs led the conference last week with 4.71 kills per set in Pittsburgh's two matches. She helped the Panthers hand Louisville their first league loss this season with a career-high 24 kills in the match on Oct. 23.  She had 5 kills in the fourth set which helped seal the victory against Louisville. She hit at a .438 clip in the two matches last week.
 
Mahoney earned freshman of the week honors for the second time. She tallied 118 assists in victories over Western Kentucky, Pittsburgh and West Virginia averaging 10.73 per set. She recorded a .500 hitting percentage from the setter position and had three service aces in the victory against Pittsburgh.
