BIG EAST Player of the Week

Yaidy Santiago, St. John's, OH, So.
Santiago helped the Red Storm to a five-set win at Creighton by recording a career-high 15 kills and 12 digs for her first career double-double.  She recorded a kill while Creighton held match point and a 14-12 lead in the fifth set.  St. John's tied the score and went on to win the set 17-15.

BIG EAST Rookie of the Week

Nele Barber, Marquette, OH, Fr.
Barber notched at least 20 kills in a pair of four-set victories at Butler and Xavier.  She averaged 5.38 kills per set in the two wins, while hitting .343.  Barber had 5.44 points per set for the first-place Golden Eagles.

BIG EAST Honor Roll 

Kelli Browning, Creighton, MB, Jr.
Hit .400 in a 1-1 week while averaging 2.38 kills and 2.38 blocks per set.  Leads the BIG EAST with 125 blocks.

Lauren Saar, Georgetown, OH, So.
Had a season-high 21 kills and 14 digs in a 3-2 win over Villanova.  In the fifth set, recorded five kills with zero errors and four digs.

Elizabeth Koberstein, Marquette, S, Sr.
Averaged 13.25 assists and 3.75 digs in wins at Butler and Xavier.  Had 58 assists in a victory over Butler.

Aubree Smith, Xavier, S, Jr.
In a 1-1 week, posted two double-doubles.  Almost had a triple-double with 46 assists, 22 digs and nine kills while hitting .389 in a loss to Marquette.

Gabby Pethokoukis, Villanova, OH, So.
Had a career-high 19 kills and seven blocks in a 3-2 loss to Georgetown. Hit a career-best .429.
