BIG EAST Conference Assistantships

The BIG EAST Conference has three annual assistantship opportunities. The positions are paid, part-time, temporary 10-month appointments - August through May. These opportunities will offer valuable, tangible experience in the collegiate athletics environment for emerging professionals. The application process for our 2026-27 program is open for the Communication Assistant position.

Championships Assistant – CLOSED
This position will primarily support the operations of select Championships at the BIG EAST Conference. Position directly reports to the Executive Associate Commissioner, Sport Administration and Championships.
 

Basketball Operations Assistant – CLOSED
The position will primarily support functions and operations of Men's and Women's Basketball at the BIG EAST Conference. Position directly reports to the Executive Associate Commissioner for Men's Basketball and Senior Associate Commissioner for Women's Basketball. 

Communications Assistant – CLOSED
This position serves in a support capacity to the Sports Media Relations Department. The position reports to the Senior Associate Commissioner for Sports Media Relations.
