NEW YORK - Seven BIG EAST players were named All-Americans by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA), as four of the league's six teams brought home certificates. On the heels of winning its second consecutive NCAA title, Connecticut had a league-best three honorees, including First Team member Roisin Upton.

Named the BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Year, Upton was joined on the Longstreth/NFHCA All-America First Team by BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Year Amber Youtz. Upton earns her second All-America certificate, while Youtz becomes the first Temple player to garner first-team recognition in 22 years. She was named to the Second Team a year ago along with Upton.

Fellow Husky and BIG EAST Freshman of the Year Chrissy Davidson was named a Second Team All-American, as was Old Dominion's Kelsey Smither. The Monarch's Sarah Breen garnered third-team honors, along with Providence's Kate Malone and UConn's Anna Middendorf.
