Providence 74, Wright State 69
Providence improved to 2-0 at the Savannah Invitational (3-2 overall) with a 74-69 victory over Wright State in Savannah, Ga. Junior guard Jovana Nogic netted a game-high 26 points in the victory. Trailing 25-22 at the break, the Friars outscored Wright State 27-20 in the third quarter, taking the lead with 2:14 left in the frame and never giving it up. PC’s advantage increased to double figures in the fourth, with Nogic draining four free-throws in the final seconds to close out the win.

Minnesota 74, Xavier 62
Freshman A'riana Gray posted her first career double-double in a 74-62 road loss at Minnesota on Wednesday night. The forward finished with 10 points and a game-high 11 rebounds. The Musketeers moved to 3-1 on the year, while the Golden Gophers improved to 5-0. Xavier led 40-32 at the half, but a 25-11 third-quarter spurt gave Minnesota the advantage which it held the rest of the way.
