The Friars (7-5) opened the third quarter on a 7-0 run to take their first lead since the opening minutes of the first quarter (28-26). The Eagles fought back to tie the game on two occasions at 4:36 (28-28) and 3:40 (30-30) of the frame, but PC closed the third on a 12-2 run. Providence out-scored Boston College 21-6 overall during the third and built a 10-point lead heading into the final 10 minutes. Providence pushed out to an 18-point lead before the Eagles responded with a 19-5 run to cut the deficit to four with 1:09 to play. The Friars sealed the game with a 6-8 showing at the free-throw line in the final 42 seconds. Providence saw four players in double figures, led by Jovana Nogic’s 18 points.

13/13 Florida State 92, Creighton 82
Audrey Faber delivered seven of the Bluejays' record-tying 17 three-pointers, but 13/13 Florida State proved too much for Creighton as the Seminoles bested the Bluejays 92-82 in Omaha. Faber finished with a game-high 30 points to go along with eight rebounds. It was a tale of two halves for the Bluejays, who shot .514 in the first, including .591 from deep, to lead by two at the break. Creighton went cold over the final 20, shooting just .310 and .308 from long-range. The Bluejays stayed within two possessions of the Seminoles throughout the third quarter, but a late 9-2 FSU run put the game out of reach.

Georgetown 71, VCU 59
Georgetown defeated the VCU Rams, 71-59, at the Siegel Center in Richmond, Virginia. With the win the Hoyas conclude nonconference play finishing at an even .500 with a mark of 5-5 overall. Junior guard Dionna White led the way with 21 points, four rebounds and five steals. She was followed by senior guard Mikayla Venson who tallied 19 points and had three steals as well as three rebounds. The Hoyas used 24 Ram turnovers to score 34 points, while 18 of Georgetown’s 71 points came on the fast break. Georgetown led wire-to-wire and by as many as 19.

Butler 60, Indiana State 51
Tori Schickel, Whitney Jennings and Kristen Spolyar combined for 52 points as Butler wrapped up their non-conference slate with a 60-51 win at Indiana State. The Bulldogs (8-4) dominated the action inside, winning the points in the paint battle 28-10. Schickel scored a game-high 23 points on 9-of-18 shooting. She added five rebounds and four blocked shots to her stat line. Jennings was in the box score with 16 points while Spolyar came off the bench to add 13. Half of Jennings points came from the free throw line with the Bulldogs closing out the contest with nine-straight points from the charity stripe.

Buffalo 73, St. John's 72
In front of a sold-out crowd of 5,602 fans, St. John’s fell to Buffalo in its annual field trip day game at Carnesecca Arena. Maya Singleton scored 15 points to lead the Johnnies (7-4), who saw four players reach double figures for the ninth time in 11 games this season. With the Bulls trailing by two in the waning seconds of the game, Buffalo’s Stephanie Reid drove to the basket and converted a spinning layup before adding a free throw to give the Bulls a 73-72 lead with 5.2 seconds remaining. The Johnnies had a look at a potential game-winner, but the try fell just short and clinched the win for Buffalo.

Seton Hall 80, Fairfield 61
Behind a 28-point effort from JaQuan Jackson and a big second half, Seton Hall (8-3) closed its non-conference slate strong with an 80-61 victory over Fairfield. The Hall led by only one at the break, but out-scored Fairfield by a margin of 42-24 in an explosive second half. Jackson scored 18 of her season-high 28 points in the second half, including 14 in the fourth quarter. The redshirt senior shot 11-of-13 from the floor and was 5-of-6 from 3-point range as one of four Pirates to score in double-figures.
