Allazia Blockton went for a season-high 29 points as the Golden Eagles (8-5, 2-0 BIG EAST) remained undefeated in BIG EAST play and undefeated (6-0) at the Al McGuire Center. The Pirates (8-5, 0-2 BIG EAST) shot better from the field and beyond the arc than MU, but were set back by 22 turnovers that Marquette converted for 36 points. The Golden Eagles dominated the inside, outrebounding The Hall 46-23 and scoring 60 points in the paint to SHU’s 30. Donnaizha Fountain led four Pirates in double figures with a team-high 16 points, including a 3-for-6 clip from deep.

RV/RV DePaul 76, St. John's 67
Kelly Campbell was one assist shy of her second consecutive triple-double while Mart’e Grays scored a game-high 18 points to keep DePaul (10-4, 2-0 BIG EAST) undefeated in BIG EAST play. The Blue Demons roared out to a 22-point halftime advantage before St. John’s (7-6, 0-2) used a big third quarter to make it a game. The Red Storm opened the third on a 17-3 run to trim the margin down to eight before DePaul used an 8-0 run to close the period and lead by 16 heading into the final 10 minutes. St. John’s got no closer than nine the rest of the way, despite Maya Singleton’s BIG EAST-leading eighth double-double of 13 points and 17 rebounds.

18/18 Villanova 63, Providence 55
Down three heading into the final quarter, the nationally ranked Wildcats outscored the host Friars 22-11 over the last 10 minutes to pick up their first BIG EAST win of the season and improve to 11-1 on the year. Providence (7-7, 0-2 BIG EAST) shot 43 percent on the afternoon led by Jovana Nogic’s 9-15 mark en route to a game-high 26 points. Mary Gedaka was near perfect for Villanova, draining 11-of-12 from the field for 24 points to go along with five rebounds.

Creighton 69, Georgetown 58
A back-and-forth battle which featured 11 lead changes and five ties ended in favor of Creighton (8-4, 2-0 BIG EAST) thanks to decisive second half. The Bluejays held Georgetown (6-6, 1-1) to 18 second-half points after the Hoyas scored 25 in the second quarter alone to lead by six at halftime. Creighton erased the halftime deficit with a 14-4 third-quarter run and never looked back, thanks to 56-percent field goal shooting, its finest outing since a 58-percent clip in the season opener. Audrey Faber scored a game-high 26 points and added seven rebounds to lead the Bluejays, while Dionna White scored a team-best 18 points for the Hoyas.
