A furious fourth-quarter comeback fell short as Marquette dropped an 82-76 decision at No. 24/21 Michigan at Crisler Arena. The Golden Eagles (4-4) were led by Erika Davenport as she poured in 23 points in front of a local crowd, while classmate Allazia Blockton tallied a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Down 16 with under eight minutes to play, MU went on an 18-4 run to narrow the advantage to just two with 4:23 left, but the Golden Eagles could get no closer as the Wolverines put the game away from the free-throw line.

Minnesota 73, Georgetown 63
Georgetown fell to Minnesota (9-1), 73-63, at McDonough Arena. A late run allowed the Golden Gophers to pull away dropping the Hoyas to 4-4 on the season. It marked the final nonconference home game of the season for the Blue & Gray. Junior guard Dionna White tallied her second-consecutive double-double with 23 points and 10 rebounds. Minnesota doubled up Georgetown, 24-12, in a decisive third quarter, with the Hoyas trimming the lead to nine in the fourth but unable to complete the comeback.
