Creighton picks up 10th win of the year as four players score in double figures.

Creighton 73, Providence 56
The Bluejays led wire-to-wire against the visiting Friars to improve to 10-7 on the year and 4-3 in BIG EAST play, as four Creighton players scored in double figures. Sydney Lamberty became the third BIG EAST player to reach double-digit assists in a game this year with her double-double of 10 points and 11 dimes. Providence (8-11, 1-6 BIG EAST) was led by Jovana Nogic’s 15 points, including a highlight reel caliber three-quarter-court heave at the end of the first quarter. PC shot 50 percent from the field for the game, but Creighton turned 17 Friar turnovers into 21 points to seal the win.

Four games are set for Sunday including a nationally televised tilt between NR/RV DePaul and Butler. The Blue Demons will look to defend their three-game win streak against a dangerous Bulldog squad which almost pulled off the upset at RV/RV Marquette on Friday before BIG EAST Preseason Player of the Year Allazia Blockton sank the game winner as time expired. The teams tip off at Wintrust Arena, the future home of the BIG EAST Tournament presented by Jeep, at 4:30 p.m. ET on CBS Sports. The BIG EAST Digital Network will stream the remaining three tilts on the afternoon, beginning at 1 p.m. when longtime foes Georgetown and Seton Hall tangle in South Orange. The Pirates took RV/RV Villanova to the brink on Friday while the Hoyas fell at St. John’s. The Red Storm and Wildcats tip at 2 p.m. in Queens, with St. John’s carrying a season-high four-game winning streak into the contest, while Villanova boasts a BIG EAST-best 14 victories on the year. Xavier the Golden Eagles round out the BEDN action at 3 p.m., with Marquette being the last remaining undefeated team in BIG EAST play, showing a 6-0 record for its finest start since joining the league in 2005-06.
