Georgetown 85, RV/RV Marquette 58
Cynthia Petke went for game highs of 26 points and 13 rebounds to help the Hoyas stun first place and previously unbeaten Marquette at McDonough Arena. The Golden Eagles led 22-21 after 10 minutes but Georgetown (8-10, 3-5 BIG EAST) held MU to 2-13 shooting and forced nine turnovers in the second quarter to outscore Marquette 20-4 in the frame, then continued the pressure in the third with a 27-11 advantage. Despite the setback, the Golden Eagles (13-6, 7-1) remained in the first place as second-place DePaul also fell on the night. Dionna White added 17 points, seven rebounds, five assists and four steals for the Hoyas. Marquette was led by Amani Wilborn’s 20 points, while Erika Davenport eclipsed the 1,000-career point mark with 10 points.

RV/RV Villanova 84, NR/RV DePaul 58
Four Wildcats scored in double figures, including matching game highs of 17 points by Alex Louin and Adrianna Hahn as Villanova’s offense fired on all cylinders to knock off DePaul (14-6, 6-2 BIG EAST). Villanova shot a season-high .569 from the field and drained double-digit threes for a second straight game, while holding the Blue Demons to a .355 clip from the floor and a 10-33 mark from distance. Villanova (15-4, 5-3) bookended the game with strong quarters, outscoring the high-powered DePaul offense 43-18 in the first and fourth. Amarah Coleman led DePaul with 13 points and five assists. Both squads will be featured on nationally televised games on Sunday, with the Wildcats hosting RV/RV Marquette at noon ET on FS1 and DePaul visiting Georgetown at 2 p.m. on CBS Sports.

Butler 59, Creighton 53
Whitney Jennings led Butler with 17 points in 39 minutes of action. The standout junior added six rebounds, three assists and a steal to her stat line against the Bluejays, as the Bulldogs never trailed in the contest. Butler (12-8, 4-4 BIG EAST) set the tone early, opening on a 16-3 run as Jennings and Iman Lathan combined for 11 points in five minutes. After Butler controlled the first 10 minutes, Creighton (10-8, 4-4) outscored Butler over the next three quarters, 44-37, to trim a once 21-point Bulldog advantage to a two-possession separation in the final minute. A pair of Jennings free-throws in the final seconds would clinch the game for Butler.

Xavier 68, Providence 59
Senior Anniina Äijänen recorded her first double-double by scoring a career-high 19 points to go along with 11 rebounds on Friday night in the Musketeers' win over Providence. The Musketeers (9-10, 2-6 BIG EAST) snapped a six-game losing streak, while the Friars (8-12, 1-7 BIG EAST) dropped their fifth straight. Xavier led wire-to-wire despite PC’s Jovana Nogic matching Äijänen’s game high with 19 points. XU shot 50 percent on the night, its finest shooting performance of the season, while Providence committed single-digit turnovers for the second time this year with just nine miscues.
