Seton Hall tops St. John’s in rivalry showdown.

RV/RV Marquette 67, RV/RV Villanova 57
Marquette got back to its winning ways with a 67-57 victory at Villanova. Erika Davenport recorded her sixth double-double of the year with 22 points and 12 boards, while Allazia Blockton and Natisha Hiedeman were also in double digits with 21 and 11 points, respectively. The Golden Eagles (14-6, 8-1 BIG EAST) owned a narrow edge in rebounding, 40-34 over the Wildcats (15-5, 5-4) and grabbed 21 points off Villanova miscues. Villanova was led by Mary Gedaka and Alex Louin each with 11 points, while Jannah Tucker swatted four blocks.

-/RV DePaul 78, Georgetown 62
DePaul (15-6, 7-2 BIG EAST) opened up a close game by outscoring Georgetown (8-11, 3-6) 25-11 in the fourth quarter for a 78-62 BIG EAST victory in Our Nation’s Capital. It was tight down the stretch until a Tanita Allen three, a pair of Ashton Millender free throws and a Lauren Prochaska driving layup provided DePaul with a 62-54 lead with 7:21 left. It was the biggest advantage for either team in the second half. An Amarah Coleman three followed by big baskets from Millender and Mart’e Grays put DePaul in front 72-56. Grays led the Blue Demons with 22 points and Amarah Coleman scored 16 points. For the second straight game, GU forward Cynthia Petke led all scorers, posting 24 points on 11-of-21 shooting from the field.

Seton Hall 62, St. John’s 57
Behind a stingy defensive effort Seton Hall (12-8, 4-5 BIG EAST) secured a rivalry game victory over St. John's (12-8, 5-4 BIG EAST) by a score of 62-57 on Sunday afternoon at Walsh Gym. Inja Butina (15) and JaQuan Jackson (14) combined for 29 points to help The Hall snap SJU's five-game winning streak. The Pirates held St. John's to 35.1 percent shooting and recorded 14 steals to go along with a +6 margin on the glass. The Johnnies were led by Alisha Kebbe, who tallied 15 points and eight rebounds in the contest.

Butler 68, Providence 57
Butler (13-8, 5-4) posted a 68-57 victory on Sunday afternoon against Providence (8-13, 1-8). Tori Schickel led the Bulldogs to victory with 27 points and nine rebounds. Schickel was the driving force for BU on the offensive end. She connected on 11-of-her 17 field goals and 5-of-6 from the charity stripe. The turning point in the game came in the third quarter as Butler got the action started with an 11-2 run to take a 46-37 lead. The Bulldogs out-scored the Friars 16-6 in the quarter and took a 48-41 lead into the final frame. Providence got within three (50-47) with 8:36 left in the game, but Butler answered with an 11-3 scoring run to take a 61-50 edge at the 4:31 mark. Providence was led by Clara Che’s 14 points.
