Creighton remains perfect with win over Seton Hall in mic’d up, commercial-free game on FS2.

Creighton 68, Seton Hall 51
In the second annual all-access, commercial-free game presented by FOX Sports, head coach Jim Flanery and the Bluejays bested head coach Anthony Bozzella and the Pirates, 68-51. The win pushed Creighton to 9-4 on the season and 3-0 in BIG EAST play, while Seton Hall fell to 8-6 overall and 0-3 in conference action. Jaylyn Agnew led Creighton with 17 points, while Olivia Elger delivered 16 and Sydney Lamberty finished with 13 points. Seton Hall got a game-high 19 points from Shadeen Samuels in the loss. Separated by six early in the fourth quarter, the Bluejays went on a late run, including a 12-4 spurt to close the contest and clinch the victory.

Georgetown 65, Xavier 60
In the first game to tipoff Tuesday, Georgetown (7-6, 2-1 BIG EAST) held on to defeat Xavier (8-5, 1-1), 65-60, in GU’s BIG EAST home opener at McDonough Arena. The Hoyas were led by junior guard Dionna White, who posted 20 points and seven rebounds in the outing, while Xavier senior forward Anniina Äijänen scored a career-high 17 points on 7-for-11 shooting. Georgetown held the advantage on the glass, outrebounding the Musketeers, 41-24, while Xavier held the edge from the field shooting 45.7 percent (21-of-46) compared to Georgetown’s 41.9 percent (26-62) outing.

Providence 49, St. John’s 44
Providence knocked off St. John's, 49-44, Tuesday night at Carnesecca Arena. It marked the Friars' first victory over St. John's since Feb. 10, 2007, halting a streak of 14-straight losses to the Red Storm. With the win Providence improved to 8-7 overall and 1-2 in the BIG EAST, while St. John's dropped to 7-7 (0-3 BIG EAST). Through three quarters, St. John’s held a 37-34 edge, but the Friars held St. John's to 2-16 shooting in the fourth quarter and outscored the Red Storm 15-7 to take the win. Maddie Jolin finished with a game-high 14 points on 5-6 shooting from the field, including 4-4 shooting from beyond the arc, while Jovana Nogic tallied 11 points (nine fourth-quarter points) for the Friars. St. John's was led by Maya Singleton's 13 points and game-high 18 rebounds.

Butler 76, 21/21 Villanova 53
Head Coach Kurt Godlevske earned his first win at Butler over a top-25 opponent on Tuesday night as the Bulldogs (9-5, 1-1 BIG EAST) knocked off No. 21 Villanova (11-2, 1-2 BIG EAST) at Nevin Field House 76-53. Villanova lost for just the second time this season behind a balanced BU attack that featured four players in double figures, led by Tori Schickel’s game-high 26 points on 10-11 shooting. The junior added seven rebounds, six assists and two blocks to her stat line. In the loss, Alex Louin led the Wildcats with a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds, while Jannah Tucker added 10 points. As a team, Butler shot 52.8 percent from the field (28-52) and held the advantage on the boards 43-19.
