NR/RV DePaul tops RV/RV Marquette to move into first-place tie.

NR/RV DePaul 95, RV/RV Marquette 83
Five Blue Demons scored in double figures as DePaul took down first-place Marquette in Chicago to move into a tie for the top spot in the league standings. Kelly Campbell stuffed the stat sheet in the win with a team-high 20 points, nine rebounds and six assists, while Natisha Hiedeman was the catalyst for the Golden Eagles with 21 points, six assists and four steals. The Blue Demons overcame a slow shooting start by knocking down 68 percent of their attempts in the second half, including a decisive 7-of-13 mark from deep over the final 20 minutes. Marquette shot nearly 44 percent from the field on the game, but left some points at the charity stripe at pivotal points.  Tied with 6:20 left in the third, MU went on a 6-0 run but DePaul responded with a 16-0 spurt to bring its advantage to double-digits for the first time. The Blue Demons led for the entirety of the fourth quarter. DePaul’s win halted Marquette’s winning streak in the rivalry series at four games.
