NR/RV Marquette 93, RV/RV DePaul 81
In a rematch of last season’s BIG EAST Tournament final, the Golden Eagles extended their win streak over nearby rival DePaul with yet another high-scoring battle in Milwaukee. The two teams eclipsed a combined 170 points for the third time in the last four meetings, with Marquette’s Allazia Blockton going for a game-high 25 points. Blockton matched the game best of 12 rebounds for her fourth double-double of the year. Kelly Campbell notched her third consecutive double-double for DePaul with 17 points and 12 rebounds. The Golden Eagles led wire-to-wire thanks to a fast start which saw MU score the first 10 points of the game and lead by 15 after 10 minutes. The Blue Demons had the edge in the second and third quarters to trim the margin to as little as six, but Marquette hit its final nine shot attempts from the field to clinch the win.
