Kelly Jekot dropped 24 points off 9-of-16 shooting to lead the Wildcats to their second win of the season. Villanova (2-0) shot .429 from the field and led wire-to-wire, with Mary Gedaka adding 15 points. Over their first two games, Gedaka has made 14-of-19 attempts from the field for a .737 clip – second-best in the BIG EAST. Villanova improved to 10-1 all-time against the Mountain Hawks.

St. John’s 60, Army 49
Behind 17 points from Akina Wellere, the Red Storm improved to 2-0 on the year, scoring their second consecutive road win. Trailing by two after one quarter, St. John’s held the host Black Knights to just six points in the second quarter to build up a six-point halftime advantage. The lead ballooned to double-digits in the third and fourth quarters. The Red Storm shot .407 on the night and held their opponent under 50 points for the second straight game.

James Madison 69, Georgetown 57
Despite 22 points and eight boards from Dionna White, Georgetown (3-1) suffered its first loss of the season on Friday night. Trailing by five at halftime, the Hoyas rallied in the third quarter to regain the lead, as the game went back-and-forth with the lead trading hands six times over 10 minutes. The host Dukes used a 24-13 fourth quarter to pull away. Mikayla Venson added 14 points, five assists and five rebounds.
