Georgetown, Villanova use late-game surges to clinch victories.

RV/RV DePaul 86, Butler 68  
A balanced attack which saw all five starters score in double figures led DePaul to its fifth consecutive win and ninth victory in its last 10 outings. Amarah Coleman stuffed the stat sheet for the Blue Demons (19-6, 11-2 BIG EAST) with 15 points, six rebounds and five assists. Butler (13-13, 5-9) put DePaul on upset alert after the Bulldogs came out of the gates strong to lead by nine after one quarter. The Blue Demons fired back in the second to pull the game even going into halftime. DePaul exploded for a 29-point third quarter to take a commanding lead and never looked back to earn the season sweep of Butler. The victory was career win No. 700 for DePaul head coach Doug Bruno, 660 of which have come on the sidelines at DePaul.

NR/RV Marquette 80, Xavier 63 
Trailing by two after the opening 10 minutes, Marquette (16-8, 10-3 BIG EAST) went on a 15-4 run to turn the tables before outscoring the Musketeers (9-16, 2-12) by 20 in the frame to take a decisive lead into halftime. The lead would hold as the teams played practically even the remainder of the game, each scoring 16 in the third and Xavier with a 24-23 edge in the fourth. MU’s Allazia Blockton scored a game-high 23 points off 9-15 shooting, while Xavier was led by Jada Byrd’s career-high 22 points. The win gives the Golden Eagles the season sweep of the Musketeers.

Georgetown 71, Seton Hall 52
The Hoyas limited the Pirates to 10 fourth-quarter points while posting their highest scoring frame (24 points) since Jan. 28 to clinch the home win. Georgetown’s Cynthia Petke posted game highs of 17 points and 14 rebounds for her 12th double-double of the season, while The Hall was led by Inja Butina’s 13 points. Georgetown (11-12, 6-7 BIG EAST) was credited with 21 assists on the afternoon, the most for the Hoyas since matching that figure on Feb. 5, 2016 against Marquette. Seton Hall (15-10, 7-7) and Georgetown split the regular-season series.

Villanova 69, St. John’s 52
A game bookended by runs saw St. John’s score the game’s first 10 points and lead 14-3 after six minutes, while Villanova used a 16-4 run to open the fourth quarter to take its own double-digit lead. The contest featured 11 lead changes and four ties, with the Wildcats’ late surge being the decisive point as Villanova (19-5, 9-4 BIG EAST) led for the final 9:39. Mary Gedaka scored a game-high 21 points and Alex Louin notched a double-double of 15 points and 11 boards to lead the Wildcats. St. John’s (14-11, 7-7) saw Maya Singleton gather a game-high 18 boards to go along with 11 points for her BIG EAST-best 14th double-double. Villanova and St. John’s split the regular-season series.
