BIG EAST Spring Olympic Sports Schedules Feature 17 National TV Broadcasts
NEW YORK - The BIG EAST spring Olympic sports schedule features 17 contests that will be broadcast to a national television audience. The BIG EAST's broadcast partner, FOX Sports, will carry nine contests spanning four Olympic sports: men's lacrosse, women's lacrosse, baseball and softball.
Highlighting the FOX coverage is the final of the BIG EAST Softball championship airing on FS1 on Saturday, May 11 at 12:30 p.m. ET. The softball semifinals (May 10 at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.) will be covered by FS2. The BIG EAST Women's Lacrosse Championship final (May 4, 2:30 p.m.) and the BIG EAST Baseball Championship Sunday (May 26, 1 p.m.) will also air on FS2. All BIG EAST Championships are presented by Jeep.
During the regular season, FS1 will broadcast the Denver at Marquette men's lacrosse game on Friday, April 26 and the Seton Hall at St. John's baseball contest on Thursday, May 16. FS1 will also feature a non-league regional rivalry women's lacrosse contest between Maryland and Georgetown on Wednesday, April 17.
All of FOX's broadcasted games will be available on FOX's mobile platform, the FOX Sports app, also home to the BIG EAST's 225 BIG EAST Digital Network events. The spring schedule for BEDN presented by SoFi will be announced in the next few weeks.
For the third consecutive year, CBS Sports Network will carry all three games of the BIG EAST Men's Lacrosse Championship in addition to three consecutive weekends of league regular-season play. CBS Sports coverage of men's lacrosse will include Villanova at Denver (April 6), Villanova at Georgetown (April 14) and St. John's at Georgetown (April 27). The men's lacrosse championship returns to Denver this May 2 and May 4 with the semifinals slated for a doubleheader starting at 6:30 p.m. ET and the championship final at 4:30 p.m.
CBS Sports will have additional baseball coverage with a non-league matchup between in-state rivals Nebraska and Creighton at TD Ameritrade Park Omaha on Tuesday, April 23 at 8 p.m. CBS Sports will also have the final game of the three-game series between St. John's and Seton Hall on Saturday, May 18. St. John's and Seton Hall met in the 2018 BIG EAST Championship final.
As other conference's release their television schedules, additional televised games may be added.
Additionally, Denver men's and women's lacrosse will be featured on the Altitude Sports and Entertainment TV. Altitude is the television home of the Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche, Colorado Mammoth, Colorado Rapids, Denver Outlaws and University of Denver sports (including hockey, basketball, soccer, volleyball, gymnastics and lacrosse). Altitude on Dish Network, nationwide is Channel 413 and 681 on DirectTV.
St. John's will also carry contests for men's lacrosse, softball and baseball on the ESPN3 platform through St. John's TV. The Red Storm's ESPN3 schedule has yet to be announced.
