The much-anticipated championship rematch between the two ranked foes went in favor of the home team as the Golden Eagles set the tone early. MU led by 20 after the first quarter before DePaul outscored the Golden Eagles 21-19 in the second period, but Natisha Hiedeman proved to be too much for the Blue Demons. Hiedeman matched her career high with 32 points, the second BIG EAST player to reach the 30-point threshold this season and first to do it in league play, while adding eight rebounds, six assists and six steals. Mart’e Grays led DePaul with 23 points and 10 boards for her second double-double of the year. Marquette shot 50 percent on the night and committed just nine miscues.

Butler 62, Seton Hall 59
A dramatic final 90 seconds ended with the Bulldogs remaining undefeated in BIG EAST play and tied atop the standings with their seventh straight win. Down one, SHU’s Kaela Hilaire sank an and-one with 91 seconds left to give the visiting Pirates their first lead since the start of the second quarter. Butler’s Tori Schickel responded with a pair of free-throws 11 seconds later to even the score at 59-59, before neither team scored for more than a minute. Whitney Jennings broke the stalemate with 17 seconds left to give BU a two-point lead, and Shae Brey made a lead-saving block of a Hilaire layup before Jennings added another free-throw to cap the win. Butler continues its best start to BIG EAST play at 3-0 and is 13-1 on the year. Hilaire finished with 15 points to lead The Hall, while Schickel posted her BIG EAST-best seventh double-double with 19 points and 11 boards. Jennings added 17 points.

St. John's 76, Xavier 57
Akina Wellere scored her 1,000
th career point and went on to finish with a game-high 21 points off 9-of-13 shooting as St. John’s improved to 1-1 in BIG EAST play. The Red Storm never trailed, using a 52-percent shooting second half to pull away from the host Musketeers. Tiana England and Curteeona Brelove (12) joined Wellere in double figures, while Alisha Kebbe grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds. A’riana Gray led XU with 16 points off 6-of-12 shooting while Na’Teshia Owens added 13.

Georgetown 68, Providence 52
A 23-7 fourth quarter started by a 13-0 run helped erase a six-point deficit and boost the Hoyas to 2-1 in BIG EAST play. Dionna White and Dorothy Adomako combined for 44 points to lead Georgetown, with Adomako grabbing a game-high 12 rebounds for her third double-double of the year. PC led by six, 42-36, midway through three after knocking down 4-of-5 triples in the frame, but shot just 3-12 from the field in the fourth as GU pulled away. Jovana Nogic led three Friars in double figures with 15 points and five rebounds.

Villanova 54, Creighton 52
Tied at 42-42 after three quarters, VU struck first in the fourth and never trailed again, leading by as many as six, 52-46, with 1:59 remaining. The host Bluejays went down swinging, cutting it down to one possession twice after three-pointers from Olivia Elger and Temi Carda, but Adrianna Hahn’s free-throws with nine ticks left iced it for the Wildcats. Creighton’s Audrey Faber, the BIG EAST’s leading scorer, once again led all scorers with 20 points, while Mary Gedaka led a trio of Wildcats in double figures with 14 points to go along with nine rebounds and five assists.
