Princeton 78, Seton Hall 76
The Hall looked to slay its second conference preseason favorite in a row when it hosted co-Ivy favorite Princeton at Walsh Gym on Friday night. The Pirates led by as many as 10 in the first half as Alexis Lewis erupted for a career-high 27 points, while Barbara Johnson also posted a career best with 21. But Princeton got hot late, going on a 19-3 run spanning the third and fourth quarters to build its own double-digit lead with less than five minutes to go. The Hall responded with its own 13-3 run, getting within one with 43 seconds left, but never completing the full comeback. BIG EAST Preseason Player of the Year Shadeen Samuels played just three minutes due to injury, exiting the contest at the 6:40 mark of the first quarter.
