Barnes, Kelava lead Georgetown to a road win at Pittsburgh to highlight Saturday’s action.

Georgetown 66, Pittsburgh 56
The Hoyas (1-2) picked up their first win of the season with a gritty 10-point victory at Pitt on Saturday afternoon. Taylor Barnes scored a game-high 18 points off 6-of-12 shooting, including a trio from beyond the arc to go along with four assists. Anita Kelava was credited with 14 rebounds. The contest featured four ties and 12 lead changes, with Georgetown using a 20-9 fourth quarter to pull away in the back-and-forth contest.

RV/RV Drake 63, Creighton 53
The Bulldogs dealt Creighton (2-1) its first loss of the year despite the Bluejays draining 11 three-pointers on the night and committing just seven turnovers. Drake dominated the paint, scoring 34 of their 63 points inside while winning the rebounding battle 44-39. Olivia Elger led the Bluejays with 15 points, all from beyond the arc, while Jaylyn Agnew dished five assists and grabbed nine boards. Creighton was limited to .294 shooting while Drake connected on over 44 percent of its attempts.

Rider 64, Xavier 57
A'riana Gray (11), Carrie Gross (11), Aaliyah Dunham (11) and Deja Ross (10) all scored in double figures but the Musketeers (1-2) dropped a road game at Rider on Saturday afternoon. Rider opened the game on an 11-0 run before Xavier responded with its own 11-0 spurt. The teams traded the lead through halftime before Rider opened the third quarter with six straight points to take a 10-point advantage and it never relinquished the lead.

A busy Sunday sees five BIG EAST teams take the court, including undefeated squads Providence (vs. Boston College, 1 p.m. ET), St. John’s (at -/RV James Madison, 2 p.m.) and Butler (vs. Eastern Kentucky, 6 p.m.). Seton Hall and Villanova will both travel to the Bronx, N.Y. with the Pirates facing Saint Joseph’s at 2:30 p.m., followed by the Wildcats battling the host Fordham Rams at 5 p.m. Both games will be played at Rose Hill Gym.
