Senior Jaylyn Agnew scored 23 of her career-high 34 points in the opening half to lead Creighton to an 82-75 win over No. 23/RV West Virginia in the opening game for both teams at the Cancun Challenge on Thursday. The Bluejays shot season highs of 50 percent from the field and from deep, dishing a season-best 19 assist as well. Tatum Rembao was one rebound shy of a triple double with 19 points, 10 assists and nine boards. Agnew was 13-of-19 from the field and 6-of-11 from deep, adding five rebounds in 37 minutes.

Georgia Tech 79, Seton Hall 54
Desiree Elmore and Alexis Lewis each had 14 points, but Seton Hall was out-scored by 21 points in the second half and fell to Georgia Tech, 79-54, in their first game of the Junkanoo Jam on Thursday. Elmore scored 14 points to go with three rebounds. Lewis scored 14 points on the strength of 4-for-8 shooting from three-point range. She also pulled down six rebounds and had three steals. Seton Hall was 20-for-61 (32.8%) from the floor for the game, while Georgia Tech was 30-for-61 (49.2%). The Hall was 5-for-19 (26.3%) from three-point range, while the Yellow Jackets were 4-for-14 (28.6%).
