Butler 74, High Point 52
Butler got back to their winning ways on Sunday by posting a 74-52 victory over High Point at Hinkle Fieldhouse. Kristen Spolyar led the Bulldogs with 18 points and five rebounds. Butler took a 13-4 lead into the first media timeout and would never trail in the contest. Oumou Toure and Upe Atosu would each score 11 points for Butler (7-3), while the rebounding leader was Naira Caceres with nine. Butler will finish off their non-conference schedule next Sunday, Dec. 22 vs. Purdue Fort Wayne. Tip is set for 2 PM.

8/8 Florida State 74, St. John's 70
Trailing by as many as 15 with just over 13 minutes to play in the game, the St. John's women's basketball team pulled within four of No. 8/8 Florida State in the closing seconds of the contest, before the Johnnies' comeback effort fell short as the Seminoles escaped with a 74-70 victory. Qadashah Hoppie led St. John’s (6-4) in scoring with 16 points on a 5-for-10 shooting from the floor, knocking down all four of her tries from the charity stripe. Redshirt senior Alissa Alston also finished in double figures, tallying 15 points to go along with a pair of assists.
