Providence 76, Bryant 32
Providence advanced to the Ocean State Tip-Off Tournament Championship Game with a wire-to-wire win over host Bryant, 76-32, in the opening round. The Friars (6-1) will play the Rhode Island, which knocked off Brown, on Sunday in the championship game. Eleven different Friars cracked the scoring column with three in double figures. Mary Baskerville led all players with 14 points on 6-9 shooting in just 15 minutes. Providence shot 30-65 (46.2%) from the field, 8-22 (36.4%) from deep and 8-12 (66.7%) from the stripe. Bryant struggled to score, shooting 11-56 (19.6%), 4-18 (22.2%) from three and 6-10 (60%) from the line.

Villanova 60, Saint Joseph's 44
Maddy Siegrist scored a game-high 23 points as Villanova (4-4) rallied to knock off Saint Joseph’s in Big 5 action on Saturday. The Hawks sprinted out to a 20-11 lead after the first quarter and led until 5:02 remaining in the third quarter. The Wildcats erupted for a 23-point third quarter, going on a 16-4 run to lead by seven at the end of the frame. VU led by at least two possessions over the final 10 minutes, outscoring SJU 15-6 as Siegirst and Gedaka each scored seven points in the frame. Gedaka finished with 19 points and five rebounds.

16/15 DePaul 76, -/RV Green Bay 65
DePaul (7-1) overcame a cold-shooting first half resulting in a season-low 25 points and a 13-point deficit midway through the third quarter. But Lexi Held led the way back with 13 points in the fourth quarter hitting one big shot after another. Held finished with 21 points and fellow sophomore Sonya Morris came through with 17 points, five rebounds and four assists. Kelly Campbell had a huge game with 10 points, 13 rebounds and six assists. Chante Stonewall contributed 10 points and four steals.
