St. John’s 60, Providence 57
The host Friars opened the game on a 12-0 run but the Red Storm limited PC to 11 points in the second quarter to even the score at 27 at halftime. St. John’s kept charging in the third, using a 9-2 run over the final 4:37 of the frame to lead by six after three. Providence scored eight of the first 10 points of the fourth to tie the game with 8:28 to play, but St. John’s used an 11-4 spurt to take a seven-point lead with just over three minutes to play. Both teams went quiet for nearly two minutes as St. John’s led by at least two possessions until PC free-throws in the final seconds. The win evened the season series and was the third in a row for the Red Storm who were led by Tiana England’s stat-stuffing afternoon of 14 points, seven rebounds and five assists. PC’s Mary Baskerville earned her fifth double-double of the year with 11 points and 11 boards.

Creighton 80, Seton Hall 71
The Bluejays used a 54-point second half to rally from a 14-point deficit and halt a five-game losing skid. Creighton and The Hall split the season series. Audrey Faber scored a game-high 26 points, including a 5-of-7 mark from deep, while teammate Jaylyn Agnew added 18 points and 14 rebounds for her second double-double of the season. Inja Butina led a trio of Pirates in double figures with 16, draining 3-of-4 from beyond the arc. Creighton shot 8-of-11, including 4-of-7 from three, over the final 10 minutes to turn a three-point lead into 17-point advantage. SHU used a 14-3 run to get within six with 31 seconds left, but Temi Carda and Agnew scored to keep the Pirates at bay.

The Hoyas and Blue Demons played down to the wire once again with host DePaul scoring its second five-point win over Georgetown this season to claim the series sweep. With the win, the Blue Demons move into a second-place tie with Butler in the BIG EAST standings. Chante Stonewall scored a game-high 20 points while teammate Mart’e Grays joined her in double figures with 18 off 8-of-12 shooting. Dionna White led a trio of Hoyas in double figures with 16 points. Tied with 56 seconds left, Lexi Held provided the go-ahead score for DePaul which led the rest of the way. Held added a pair of insurance free-throws with 13 ticks left. She finished with 11 points.

8/7 Marquette 93, Villanova 55
The Golden Eagles won their 12
th straight game and locked up a top-three finish in the BIG EAST with its season sweep of the Wildcats. MU grabbed 51 rebounds, scored 50 points in the paint and 17 second-chance points, shooting .522 on the afternoon and committed just 11 miscues. Natisha Hiedeman led all scorers with 22 points, adding eight boards and five assists, one of four Golden Eagles in double figures. Jannah Tucker led Villanova with 15 points, all coming from beyond the arc. MU limited Villanova to nine second-quarter points to build up a sizeable lead by halftime, with the Wildcats getting no closer than 22 over the final 20 minutes.
