#13 Georgetown 0, #10 Duke 0
Both the Hoyas and the Blue Devils played pressuring defenses, allowing just five shots from each squad during regulation. Julia Leas attempted a team-high three shots for No. 13 Georgetown, including a shot in the 20th minute that went just above the crossbar. The Blue & Gray allowed No. 10 Duke to take four shots in the first 10 minutes of overtime, but a strong Hoya defense along with a save by freshman goalkeeper Anna Leat forced the two teams to go into double overtime. Meaghan Nally led a tight Hoya defense against Duke in its home opener, allowing the Blue Devils just one shot in the second overtime frame. Both squads move to 1-1-1 on the year.
