BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week
Zach Riviere, Georgetown, Jr., F (Piscataway, N.J.)

Georgetown junior forward Zach Riviere helped the No. 5 Hoyas to a 2-0 week as he led the league offensively with 3.00 points per game. Riviere started the week off with a hat trick at UCLA, leading Georgetown to a 5-1 victory on the West Coast. Georgetown finished the week outscoring its opponents 9-2.
 
BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week
Matt Chandler, St. John’s, So., D (Toronto, Ontario)
St. John sophomore Matt Chandler played the full 90 in both of St. John’s victories last week, 3-2 over Iona, 1-0 over Penn. Chandler played on a defensive line that allowed just nine shots on goal and only one goal in non-penalty shot situations. He anchored the Red Storm to its fourth shutout in five tries with the win over Penn on Friday.
 
BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week
Carson Williams, Villanova, RS-So., GK  (Plano, Texas)
Villanova redshirt sophomore Carson Williams repeats as BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week after a 1-1-0 performance between the pipes for the Wildcats. Williams started the week with two saves in a double overtime 1-0 victory for Villanova over Fordham. It was Williams’ fifth consecutive shutout, marking a program record. On Friday night, he marked three saves in a 1-0 loss at Penn State. For the week he posted a 0.47 goals against average in 191:51 minutes of action.
 
BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
Wilmer Cabrera Jr., Butler, Fr., F (Bradenton, Fla.)
Butler freshman forward Wilmer Cabrera helped Butler to a 1-0 week as he scored the game-winning goal against Wisconsin on Thursday night. Cabrera played all 90 minutes and took two shots, both on net. The goal came in the 49th minute.
 
BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll
Max de Bruijne, DePaul, Sr., D
de Bruijne helped DePaul to a 1-1-0 week as he played a key role in the Blue Demons’ 3-0 shutout of Drake. He also marked an assist in the match. de Bruijne scored both goals in the 4-2 loss to Loyola Chicago on Friday night.
Josh Coan, Marquette, Sr., F
Coan had a five-point game in the 3-1 win over Northern Illinois on Friday night, a career best. Coan scored the first and third goals. He assisted on Connor Alba’s goal which put MU up 2-1.
Joao Serrano, Providence, RS-Sr. D
Serrano assisted Providence’s first goal in a 4-0 win over Sacred Heart while also leading a defense that held SHU to just two shots for the match. In the 2-1 loss to Rhode Island, Serrano scored a PK goal in the 61st minute to tie the game at 1-1. Despite the loss, Providence held URI to just six shots for the match.
Einar Lye, St. John’s, So., M
Lye had a part in all three goals in the 3-2 win over Iona, scoring twice and assisting the other as he became the first St. John’s player since 2005 to record five points in a game. Lye had a team-high three shots in the 1-0 win over Penn.
Derrick Otim, Xavier, Sr., M
Otim scored two goals in a 0-1-1 week for Xavier, while posting one assist. He scored his first goal of the season against then-No. 17 Kentucky then added an assist. In the 3-2 2OT loss to Memphis, Otim scored the second goal for the Musketeers, giving them a 2-1 lead at the time.
