			WSOC Notes - 9.20 Update
Providence 1, Texas 0
BIG EAST teams wrapped up regular-season non-conference play 6-0 against Big 12 teams after the Friars won in overtime at Texas on Thursday night. Elayna Grillakis scored the golden goal in the 98th minute. Amber Birchwell played a ball on the endline to the middle of the box, and Grillakis one-timed a right-footed shot around the defender to the far post for the victory. Shelby Hogan made seven saves for her third shutout of the season. PC (4-3-1) has yet to allow multiple goals in a match this season.

Villanova 2, Princeton 2 (2OT)
The Wildcats struck first with Brie McInroy’s third goal of the season, giving VU a 1-0 lead in the ninth minute. Princeton’s Courtney O’Brien scored the next two goals to give the host Tigers a 2-1 lead early in the second half. Allison Breed notched the equalizer for Villanova in the 69th. Despite Princeton attacking, including nine shots in overtime, the game ended in a 2-2 draw. Rebecca Gartner had nine saves for the Wildcats, who moved to 3-3-2 on the year.

DePaul 0, Samford 0 (2OT)
DePaul played to a scoreless double overtime draw on Thursday afternoon against the Samford Bulldogs on Wish Field. It marked the second consecutive draw at home for the Blue Demons, who finished non-league play 3-4-2. Mollie Eriksson notched four saves for DePaul, two in the first half and two in the second. The sophomore now has 30 saves this far into the season and owns a goals against average of 0.95 with a 0.769 save percentage. The Blue Demons outshot the Bulldogs 17-6.

Drexel 1, Seton Hall 0
Drexel was awarded a corner kick on the near side in the match's 31st minute, and the kick sailed in the box on the far side where it got loose. Annalena O'Reilly got a hold of it and finished on the far post for her first career goal. Drexel out-shot the Pirates, 16-4. Freshman goalkeeper Harpa Johannsdottir made two saves in the first half. Fellow rookie keeper Blair Currie played the second half and stopped the only shot she faced in her first collegiate action.

Five more BIG EAST teams take the pitch on Friday including a trio of the hottest teams in the league. Creighton takes its four-matching winning streak to Florida Gulf Coast (7 p.m. ET), while Xavier will look to extend its four-match unbeaten stretch when it visits Miami-Ohio at 4 p.m. Winners of three straight, No. 12 Geogetown concludes non-conference action at home against Ohio (4 p.m.). Butler will also play its final non-league match when it travels to Utah (9 p.m.), while Marquette returns home to host Northern Illinois (6 p.m.). Looking ahead to Saturday, St. John’s has the lone match as it hosts Cornell at 3 p.m. in the Red Storm’s final non-conference contest.
