No. 15/17 DePaul remains unbeaten while Marquette and Butler go 2-0 on the weekend with Villanova picking up its fourth win in conference play.

15/17 DePaul 74, St. John's 69 
In a battle between the preseason No. 1 and No. 2, the unanimous pick for No. 1 prevailed as DePaul erased a six point deficit in the fourth quarter to take down St. John’s 74-69, stretching its win streak to six games. In a contest featuring two of the premiere long-range threats in the BIG EAST, each team relied on points in the paint and free throw opportunities to secure the advantage. Sonya Morris led DePaul (15-2, 5-0) with 17 points and 11 rebounds for her first career double-double while Chante Stonewall and Deja Church chipped in 15 points apiece with Church also recording a double-double for the first time in a DePaul uniform. The Red Storm (10-7, 3-3) saw three players in double figures with Qadashah Hoppie leading the way with 20 points while Alissa Alston chipped in 19. Leilani Correa continued a stellar rookie campaign with 16 points and eight rebounds.

Villanova 66, Xavier 54 
Villanova closed out the weekend in the win column with a 66-54 win over visiting Xavier on Sunday afternoon. A 21-6 Wildcats advantage after the first quarter proved to be the difference in the game. Rookie Maddy Siegrist tallied her fourth double-double in BIG EAST play with 23 points and 16 rebounds to lead the way for Villanova (9-7, 4-2 BIG EAST) while senior Mary Gedaka poured in 20 points in 40 minutes of action. The Wildcats took advantage of offensive rebounds with 12 second chance points while winning the points in the paint battle 34-24. A’riana Gray led Xavier (2-14, 1-4) with 20 points and 10 rebounds for her 20th career double-double.

Butler 47, Georgetown 46 
Kristen Spolyar’s free throw with 58 seconds remaining followed up with a defensive rebound on the other end of the court sealed a 47-46 victory for the Bulldogs on the road. Butler (11-5, 3-2) went into intermission with a 30-19 advantage before the Hoyas responded with a 27-17 second half performance. Spolyar and fellow senior Kat Strong led the way with 15 and 12 points, respectively. Strong posted a team-high eight rebounds while the Bulldogs capitalized on 21 Georgetown turnovers with 16 points at the other end. Taylor Barnes led the scoring for the Hoyas (4-13, 1-5) with 16 points including 4-of-6 from behind the arc while Anita Kelava posted a game-high 14 rebounds to go along with eight points.

Marquette 81, Seton Hall 60  
Marquette picked up its third BIG EAST win in a row on Sunday afternoon with an 81-60 victory over Seton Hall behind freshman Camryn Taylor’s first double-double of 23 points and 11 rebounds. The Golden Eagles entered halftime with a five-point advantage before outscoring the Pirates 43-26 in the second half to claim the win. Selena Lott continued to provide offensive production with 19 points and six assists while Altia Anderson added 11 points and four steals. Marquette (12-4, 3-2) dished out 23 assists on 27 made field goals and won the rebounding battle 46-34 against the top rebounding team in the BIG EAST. Barbara Johnson led the way for The Hall (10-7, 3-3) with 20 points, six rebounds and four steals while Desiree Elmore tallied 12 points.
