St. John’s 64, Providence 58
Four Red Storm players scored in double figures, including the 1000
th-career points for both Alisha Kebbe and Qadashah Hoppie, as St. John’s won a back-and-forth battle with the Friars in front of a sold-out crowd at Carnesecca Arena. The game featured nine ties and 12 lead changes in what was the fifth consecutive meeting between the longtime foes that was decided by single digits. Hoppie led all scorers with 16 points, making 8-of-10 attempts from the charity stripe, while PC’s Mary Baskerville collected a game-high 11 rebounds along with 12 points for her fourth double-double of the year. St. John’s (11-7, 4-3 BIG EAST) committed just eight turnovers while forcing the Friars (9-9, 0-6) into 18 miscues which resulted in 11 Red Storm points.

Seton Hall 82, -/RV Creighton 70
The Pirates opened the game on a 19-2 run and sank seven three-pointers in the first 10 minutes to stun visiting Creighton (12-5, 4-2) in front of a sold-out crowd at Walsh Gym on Friday afternoon. The Bluejays battled back to trim The Hall’s lead down to eight in the final 90 seconds, but Seton Hall (11-7, 4-3) posted season highs in both field goal (.527) and three-point percentage (.500) to hold on for the win. Alexis Lewis led five Pirates in double figures with 18 points along with seven rebounds, while Creighton’s Jaylyn Agnew led all scorers with 22 points and added eight boards. Desiree Elmore stuffed the stat sheet for SHU with 13 points, nine rebounds and six assists.

Butler 61, Marquette 55
Kristen Spolyar scored a game-high 30 points to lead Butler (12-5, 4-2) past visiting Marquette (12-5, 3-3) Friday night inside Hinkle Fieldhouse. The back-and-forth battle saw 11 ties and seven lead changes, with Genesis Parker breaking the game’s final tie with 1:46 to go thanks to a pair of free-throws. Parker and Spolyar combined for a 6-of-6 mark from the charity stripe inside the final 106 seconds to hold off the Golden Eagles. Selena Lott led MU with 15 points, while Spolyar also collected a game-high nine rebounds.

14/15 DePaul 91, Xavier 68
After taking the lead midway through the first quarter, DePaul never looked back to remain undefeated (6-0) in BIG EAST play, claiming its seventh consecutive win and improving to 16-2 on the year. The Blue Demons’ Chante Stonewall led all scorers with 22 points, tying Villanova’s Maddy Siegrist for the conference lead with her ninth 20-point game of the year. Xavier (2-15, 1-5) was led by A’riana Gray who notched her fifth double-double of the season with 18 points and a game-high 11 rebounds. DePaul was deadly from deep, sinking 13-of-31 attempts from beyond the arc while forcing 24 Musketeer turnovers. Each team saw four players score in double figures as each squad shot over 40 percent on the night.
