Marquette, St. John’s, Seton Hall pick up wins to move up in the standings while No. 14/15 DePaul remains the team to beat.

14/15 DePaul 80, Butler 65
The host Bulldogs challenged the 14th-ranked Blue Demons throughout, but a 25-point third quarter for DePaul gave the first-place squad an insurmountable advantage. DePaul saw five score in double figures led by a team-high 22 points for Sonya Morris, while Deja Church notched a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Butler’s Kristen Spolyar scored a game-high 25 points, making 8-of-14 attempts from the field, including 2-of-3 from deep. The Blue Demons stretched their win streak to eight games while remaining the lone undefeated team in BIG EAST play at 7-0.

Marquette 80, Xavier 60 
Marquette scored a wire-to-wire win at Xavier on Sunday thanks to a 23-4 opening quarter. Four Golden Eagles finished in double figures, including a game-high 20 points for Isabelle Spingola and a double-double for Altia Anderson with 10 points and a game-high 14 rebounds. Xavier’s A’riana Gray notched her sixth double-double of the season with 13 points and 10 rebounds. MU shot .439 on the afternoon, including a 50-percent clip (10-20) from deep. Xavier committed just seven turnovers but was hampered by a .292 shooting average.

St. John's 63, -/RV Creighton 58 
The host Red Storm took advantage of a Creighton squad without the BIG EAST’s leading scorer in conference play Jaylyn Agnew, scoring a five-point win over the Bluejays to move ahead of CU in the standings and into third place. St. John’s shot .423 on the afternoon, including a 6-of-13 clip for Qadashah Hoppie who led the Red Storm with 16 points. Creighton’s Temi Carda scored a game-high 19 points off 8-of-15 shooting. Tied at 55-55 with 2:35 to play, St. John’s went on a 6-0 run, holding Creighton scoreless for over two minutes to hang on for the win.

Seton Hall 97, Providence 55 
Shadeen Samuels and Alexis Lewis both reached the 20-point mark and Seton Hall downed Providence, 97-55, behind a remarkable 46-7 start on Sunday. For a second straight game, the Pirates came out of the gate on fire from the field, outscoring the Friars 22-5 in the opening quarter before eventually taking a 46-7 lead with 4:42 left in the second quarter. Samuels had a game-high 23 points on an efficient 9-for-11 shooting from the field to go with six rebounds and two assists in under 20 minutes. Mary Baskerville led the Friars with 14 points off 6-of-7 shooting.
