DePaul’s Sonya Morris and Creighton’s Emma Ronsiek pick up weekly honors.

Sonya Morris, DePaul, Jr., G
Morris had 22 points, eight assists and six rebounds in the 18th-ranked Blue Demons win at Creighton on Tuesday night. Of her 22 points, nine were scored in the fourth quarter as DePaul erased a seven-point deficit to score a 90-81 win. Morris was 4-of-5 from the field over the final 10 minutes and 9-of-15 on the night, including a 4-of-8 clip from three.
 
BIG EAST Women’s Basketball Freshman of the Week
Emma Ronsiek, Creighton, Fr., F
Ronsiek posted the most points and rebounds by a BIG EAST rookie in a game this season with game highs of 28 points and 10 rebounds against 18th-ranked DePaul on Tuesday night. The freshman forward was 13-of-15 from the field, including 2-of-3 from deep.

Evina Westbrook, UConn, R.-Jr., G
Westbrook scored 17 points off 7-of-10 shooting while adding eight rebounds, five assists and four steals in win at previously unbeaten Villanova on Tuesday night.
Liza Karlen, Marquette, Fr., F
Karlen scored 10 points off 4-of-5 shooting, while adding five rebounds in just 17 minutes off the bench in Tuesday’s win at Xavier.
Leilani Correa, St. John’s, So., G
Correa notched her second career double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds in Tuesday afternoon’s win over St. Bonaventure.
Sarah Mortensen, Villanova, Sr., F
Mortensen registered 17 points and nine rebounds in a setback to No. 3/5 UConn on Tuesday night.
Nia Clark, Xavier, R-Fr., F
Clark scored a game-high 17 points and added three steals and three rebounds in setback to Marquette on Tuesday afternoon.
