Thanksgiving Tournament Play
RV/- DePaul, Marquette, St. John’s and Seton Hall will all use the holiday week to head to warmer climates and face some hot competition. The Blue Demons will compete at the Paradise Jam in St. Thomas, U.S.V.I., this week, facing Rutgers, No. 9/12 Arizona and Vanderbilt beginning on Thursday. All three games will stream on ESPN+. Marquette is jetting off to the Daytona Beach Invitational where it will face Middle Tennessee and RV/21 Georgia on Friday and Saturday. St. John’s also heads to the Sunshine State, as the Red Storm will begin the Gulf Coast Showcase against Penn State on Friday. Additional opponents will be determined. Rounding out the tournament action, Seton Hall flies off to Cancun where it will face USC on Thursday and Toledo on Friday. All games for the Golden Eagles, Red Storm and Pirates will stream on FloSports.

BIG EAST teams dropped a pair of midday contests on Tuesday as Butler fell to SIUE 87-74 and Providence dropped an 80-62 decision to UMass. Trailing by 13 after the first quarter, the Bulldogs (0-5) used a 28-point second quarter to close the gap to eight at the half. SIUE responded with a 25-point third to bump its lead back to double digits where it would remain. Zoe Jackson led four Bulldogs in double figures with 16 points off 6-of-9 shooting. The shorthanded Friars (1-4) were limited to just eight players in uniform with half of those available being first-year players. PC led by 11 in the second quarter but UMass combined for 49 points between the second and third frames to pull ahead. Alyssa Geary scored a team-high 24 points while Janai Crooms and Lauren Sampson added 10 points apiece.
