Sonya Morris and Aneesah Morrow combined to score 64 points while also contributing 21 rebounds and seven steals in Saturday’s win at the Paradise Jam. The duo went 8-for-10 behind the arc as DePaul improved to 5-2. Trailing by nine late in the second quarter, DePaul went on an 11-0 run to take the lead. The teams traded the lead in the third quarter before an 18-2 Blue Demon run put the game away. DePaul limited Vandy to just eight points in the third. The Blue Demons totaled 54 points over the final 20 minutes. Morrow finished with 28 points and 15 rebounds while Morris registered a career-high 36 points and six boards.

Creighton 79, Northern Iowa 72  
The tandem of senior Tatum Rembao and sophomore Emma Ronsiek combined for 41 points, 10 assists and six rebounds to lead Creighton (3-2) to a 79-72 win over Northern Iowa on Saturday. The Bluejays trailed by double digits in the third quarter but outscored UNI 46-32 in the second half to rally for the win. Creighton shot .586 over the final 20 minutes while limiting UNI to a .357 clip during that span. Rembao finished with 16 points and eight assists while Ronsiek posted 25 points and three boards.

Providence 64, Monmouth 34  
Freshmen Olivia Olsen recorded a game- and career-high 12 points and added six rebounds in 16 minutes of action to lead Providence to the home win on Sunday.  Junior Janai Crooms added four points and 15 rebounds for the Friars. PC limited Monmouth to just .209 shooting while the Friars shot .490, including a .522 clip in the opening 20 minutes. Providence (2-4) led 30-13 at the half.

Xavier 73, Eastern Kentucky 60  
Nia Clark led four Musketeers in double figures on Saturday with a game-high 22 points, leading the Musketeers to a 73-60 win at Eastern Kentucky. Xavier has now won three straight games, moving to 3-3 on the year. Eastern Kentucky dropped to 2-3. The last time the Musketeers won three games in a row was on Nov. 25, 2020 - Dec. 14, 2020 (won three straight games to start the 2020-21 season). The Musketeers posted their second-highest field-goal percentage of the season, going 26-for-55 (.473) from the floor.

RV/21 Georgia 70, Marquette 45  
Remaining unbeaten with the win, Georgia (6-0) led the contest from start to finish. Relentless defense from the Lady Bulldogs held Marquette (4-2) to a season-low 32.2 percent (19-of-59) shooting from the field while forcing 19 turnovers. Graduate forward Lauren Van Kleunen led all Golden Eagles in the scoring column with 13 points, her third straight game scoring in double figures. Junior guard Jordan King chipped in 12 points, along with five assists and five boards.

19/15 UCLA 73, St. John's 65 | Charlotte 82, St. John's 64  
The Red Storm (3-4) dropped their final two games in Estero, Fla., on Saturday and Sunday, including a tight one with 19
th-ranked UCLA. Danielle Patterson tallied 12 points and 10 boards against the Bruins for her first double-double in a St. John’s uniform. The Red Storm and Bruins were tied with 4:44 to play before UCLA scored seven straight to pull away. Patterson had 19 points in St. John’s setback to Charlotte on Saturday. Two other players finished in double figures against the 49ers, as Leilani Correa and Danielle Cosgrove turned in 14 and 11 points, respectively.

IUPUI 80, Butler 47  
The IUPUI Jaguars (2-3) tied a school record by making 16 3-point field goals against the Bulldogs on Sunday afternoon. Their spectacular shooting display led to an 80-47 victory against Butler (0-6) in their 2021 home opener. Butler’s Celena Taborn only missed two shots to net her team-high 17 points.

Temple 68, Villanova 62  
Tied at 60-60 with 1:39 to go on Saturday at Finneran Pavilion, Temple scored on its next possession then forced a turnover and converted a pair of free-throws to take a four-point lead with 21 seconds to go. Bella Runyan got Villanova (2-3) within two, 64-62, with 18 ticks left, but the Owls knocked down free-throws over the closing seconds to clinch the win. Lior Garzon scored a game-high 22 points.
