Sonya Morris, DePaul, Sr., G
Morris sparked RV/- DePaul to a 2-1 record at last week’s Paradise Jam, averaging 18.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists and .460 shooting. The senior guard’s time in St. Thomas was highlighted by a career-best 36-point outing in Saturday’s win over Vanderbilt. She was 14-of-22 from the field, including 7-of-9 from three, while adding six rebounds and four boards against the Commodores. The 36-point display is the most by a BIG EAST player this season.
 
BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
Aneesah Morrow, DePaul, Fr., F
Morrow claims her third straight top rookie honor after averaging 20.0 points, 12.7 rebounds and 3.3 steals against Rutgers, No. 9/12 Arizona and Vanderbilt. The freshman forward was once again the league’s top rebounder thanks to a 16-board performance against the Wildcats and 15 against the Commodores. Morrow currently leads the BIG EAST with three double-doubles on the year and is tied for first with three 20-point games – two of which came in St. Thomas. Morrow totaled 24 points against Arizona and 28 against Vandy.

Lior Garzon, Villanova, So., F – 21.5 ppg, 2.5 rpg, 2.0 spg, 2.0 apg in 1-1 week for the Wildcats; eclipsed the 20-point mark in games against Penn and Temple
