Villanova, Creighton score wins over Pac-12 foes as the Wildcats upset 23rd-ranked Oregon State and Bluejays top Arizona State.

Villanova 56, 23/20 Oregon State 52  
The Wildcats earned their first top-25 win under head coach Denise Dillon as Villanova (5-5, 0-2 BIG EAST) upset the 23rd-ranked Beavers Sunday at Finneran Pavilion. In just her second game back after a six-game absence, Maddy Siegrist went off for 28 points and nine rebounds, while Brianna Herlihy tallied 10 points and a game-high 14 rebounds. The game featured five ties and 11 lead changes, with the Wildcats leading by as many as 11 in the third quarter. VU shot just .290 on the afternoon but drained eight three-pointers and forced 15 Oregon State turnovers, compared to just three miscues of their own. Villanova outscored Oregon State, 17-0, in points off turnovers.

Creighton 69, Arizona State 62  
Carly Bachelor had a career-high 23 points and Creighton overcame a seven point deficit in the fourth quarter to defeat Arizona State on Sunday afternoon inside D.J. Sokol Arena in Omaha. Creighton (6-2, 2-0) fell behind 48-41 after the opening possession of the final frame before embarking on a 13-2 run to regain a 54-50 lead and never looked back. Bachelor's 23 points eclipsed her previous best of 20 done in last year's WNIT victory vs. Bowling Green as the junior made 9-of-11 field goal attempts. Emma Ronsiek (15) and Molly Mogensen (10) also scored in double-digits.

Illinois 78, Butler 66  
The teams were separated by single digits until the closing seconds of the third quarter as the host Illini went on a 13-2 run to grow its lead to 17 with 7:07 remaining. Butler closed within nine in the closing moments, but free-throws by Illinois clinched the win. Trinity White led three Bulldogs in double figures with a team-high 21 points. Butler (0-10, 0-2) drained eight triples on the afternoon, including three apiece for White and Kendall Wingler.

Cincinnati 82, Xavier 73  
Xavier trailed by two with 2:40 remaining before the host Bearcats went on a decisive 7-0 to pull away late and score the win. UC scored 32 fourth-quarter points after the Musketeers (4-6, 0-2) had led for the majority of the third quarter. Shaila Beeler led Xavier with a career-high 23 points off 7-of-15 shooting, adding five assists and four rebounds. XU shot .404 on the afternoon and won the rebounding battle for the second straight game but committed 20 turnovers which Cincinnati turned into 18 points.

Wagner 62, St. John's 59  
In its second game in as many days, St. John's (5-5, 1-0) fell short at Wagner, 62-59, on Sunday afternoon at Spiro Sports Center in Staten Island, N.Y. For the sixth time this season, Leilani Correa led the way for St. John's in scoring, finishing with 14 points. Tied at 54-54 with 3:29 to play, Wagner scored the next four points and kept the Red Storm off the scoreboard for nearly three minutes. The Johnnies got back within one with four seconds left after a Unique Drake triple, but Wagner free-throws in the closing seconds sealed the win for the home squad.
