The Blue Demons and Red Storm combined for 200 points as DePaul’s Sonya Morris and St. John’s Leilani Correa each dropped 35 points. The back-and-forth high-scoring affair featured 12 ties and 10 lead changes. The Blue Demons (11-2, 3-0 BIG EAST) reached the century mark for the third straight game to set a program record. DePaul led by five, 84-79, early in the fourth quarter before going on an 11-2 run to bump its lead up to 14. St. John’s (5-6, 1-1) closed within nine, 97-88, with under five minutes to go, but back-to-back buckets by Morris grew the lead back to double-digits where it remained. Both teams shot over 50 percent for the game (DePaul, .513; St. John’s, .507).

Seton Hall 69, Marquette 57
Lauren Park-Lane posted a season-high 25 points to go with eight assists as Seton Hall (5-5, 1-2) picked up its first BIG EAST win while dealing Marquette (8-3, 2-1) its first conference setback. Tied at 51-51 with 9:24 left in the fourth, the Pirates used a 16-0 run which lasted until the 2:55 mark to put the game away. The Hall was limited to only eight available players and two coaches due to COVID-19 protocols. For the Golden Eagles, Karissa McLaughlin posted a game-high 26 points, highlighted by a 6-of-10 mark from three. The loss snaps a four-game winning streak for Marquette.

Creighton 71, Providence 56
Lauren Jensen jump-started the Bluejays in the opening quarter, dropping 17 points in the first 10 minutes to push Creighton (7-3, 3-0) out to a 28-11 lead. Jensen closed the frame 7-of-8 from the field, hitting three buckets from long range. Providence trimmed the gap down to eight by halftime, and then again in the fourth, but both teams struggled from the field in the final frame as Creighton maintained the advantage. Jensen finished with a game-high 19 points, while Janai Crooms led Providence (6-6, 1-2) with 11 points and a game-high 14 boards for her sixth double-double of the year.

Xavier 65, Southeast Mo. St. 58
Kae Satterfield and Ayanna Townsend posted double-doubles on Sunday afternoon, leading Xavier to a 65-58 win over Southeast Missouri. The Musketeers moved to 5-6 on the year, while the Redhawks dropped to 4-7. Satterfield finished with 17 points and 12 rebounds, her fifth career double-double. The 17 points matched her career in scoring. Townsend recorded a career-high 18 points and 15 rebounds, her third career double-double and first of the season.

6/4 Louisville 69, 7/6 UConn 64
Freshman Caroline Ducharme had a season-high 24 points and eight rebounds to lead UConn (6-3, 1-0), which was playing its third straight game without injured star Paige Bueckers. Dorka Juhasz added 15 points and Christyn Williams had 10. Louisville trailed the entire first half and didn't take its first lead until Kianna Smith hit a jumper to make it 29-28 just under two minutes into the third quarter. That was part of a 7-0 Cardinals run to open the half. Ducharme scored consecutive baskets to put UConn up 52-51 midway through the fourth quarter, but the Cardinals took control from there.
