Emma Ronsiek scored a career-high 30 points and Tatum Rembao had a double-double of 10 points and 12 assists as the Bluejays (12-4, 7-1 BIG EAST) held on late to defeat visiting St. John’s (5-10, 1-4) Sunday afternoon at D.J. Sokol Arena. The game featured seven ties and six lead changes with the contest knotted at 77-77 with 3:25 to go. Creighton scored seven straight points to break away late, as the Bluejays remained in second place in the BIG EAST standings. Both squads shot the ball well, with St. John’s sinking 53.2-percent of its attempts to Creighton’s 48.4-percent clip. Leilani Correa led a trio of Red Storm players in double figures with 26 points, including four made triples.

Villanova 58, Marquette 55
The host Golden Eagles went on a 9-0 run to trim a 10-point Villanova lead down to one with 53 seconds to go, but once against Maddy Siegrist saved the day for the Wildcats with a clutch bucket and free-throw to clinch the win. Siegrist finished with a game-high 19 points while teammate Lior Garzon tallied a double-double of 14 points and a game-high 11 rebounds. Jordan King sparked Marquette with 14 points and six boards, while Lauren Van Kleunen added 11 points and a game-high six assists. It was Marquette’s third game in five days and second contest in its last three to come down to the wire, after defeating RV/- DePaul in overtime on Wednesday. It was Marquette’s first home loss of the season, entering the game 9-0 at the Al McGuire Center.

The Blue Demons opened the game on a 13-0 run and never looked back, scoring their third victory in their last four games to maintain their hold on third place in the BIG EAST standings. The nation’s top scoring offense reached triple digits for the seventh time this season, moving its season scoring average to 91.3 points per game and setting a program standard for most 100-point games. Rookie Aneesah Morrow tallied her NCAA-leading 13
th double-double of the season with game highs of 23 points and 14 rebounds. Milan Bolden-Morris led a trio of Hoyas in double figures, scoring 17 points which included a 5-of-10 mark from three. GU outrebounded DePaul 40-39, but was set back by 24 turnovers as the Blue Demons recorded 12 steals – their eighth game of the season with double-digit thefts.

Seton Hall 62, Providence 42
Lauren Park-Lane filled the stat sheet with 30 points, five rebounds, four assists and four steals as Seton Hall got back in the win column Sunday afternoon in Friartown. The Pirates never trailed in the contest as they forced 20 Providence turnovers held PC without a made three pointer. It snapped the Friars’ 196 game streak of making at least one three-pointer. Sidney Cooks added a double-double of 11 points and 13 rebounds. Providence was led by Olivia Olsen’s double-double of 10 points and 12 rebounds as the Friars won the battle of the boards 45-41. Janai Crooms added 10 points for PC.
